Where on earth have I been all this time?!
Don’t worry I’ve been asking myself the same bloody question!
I still haven’t come to the conclusion as to how so much time- more than a month went past in what seemed like a period of time that couldn’t have been more than about 9 days! And I certainly don’t know how in all this time I didn’t find any of the required time needed to write a blog post, a least a bit of an update- pretty petty for someone who vowed never to be a slack blogger!
The past few months have seen me in all sorts of places with all kinds of people. For those of you who are wondering exactly what part of the world I’m (still) in, after a serious mental battle and another tourist visa I’m still waking up in Brazil. Quite happily I might add.
A combination of factors wouldn’t let me leave Brazil on the day that my airline tickets clearly stated in bold black ink. A horrendously perfect love story, a still itching twitch for adventure…wanting to do something that you haven’t (you would have thought that the territory would have smacked that clean out of me) and of course, the status I’ve used and abused since I finished year 12- no commitments to any one place or time.
So here I am… in the time that I haven’t been writing, I’ve been semi-jet setting about brazil, back and forth between brasilia, Goiania, sao Paulo and campinas, meeting lots of new people and doing plenty of interesting things… at the end of my circle I’ve ended up at CNA- an English school. I’m extremely proud and equally excited that I’m now an English teacher in Brazil, it’s a great job for me. I guess all those years of correcting people’s English anywhere and everywhere were good practice and were worth the wait to be now paid for doing it! More about my school and job later.
At the risk of making the blog boring- more than it could already be without having written on it for so long, I’ll keep things short. That’s the update and here’s the pics: the most recent 2 months of waking up in Brazil:
